What is PDR?
Paintless Dent Removal (also known as PDR) is the process of removing dings and dents from your vehicle without the need of conventional repair. Using this technique you avoid the process of grinding, filling, and repainting your damaged area. With PDR your vehicle is brought back to its original state like nothing happen.
This process utilizes special tools which is applied to the back side of the damaged panel. With controlled and precise pushing along with some specialized lights the dent is massaged and manipulated back to its original state.
Repairs usually only take hours and not days allowing you to get your vehicle back in a timely manner.
VALUE
- Keep your original factory paint
- Repairs usually take hours... not days
- No Carfax reports on your vehicle
Larger Dents: What are the limitations of PDR?
In years past PDR has been limited to the common door ding not much bigger than a nickel. With time tools became more advance and techniques started to evolve. Today a good PDR technician can remove larger dents that would of seemed nearly impossible a few years ago. The caveat is that once the dent becomes larger in size or the complexity of the damage increases the importance of other factors really come into play. These factors would be things such as… access to the damaged area, leverage, location, obstruction, stretched metal, original paint, etc. Depending on these factors determines whether or not the damage can be repaired using the PDR method.
HOw do I get an Estimate?
Send me some pictures of the damaged area with a few different angles along with your contact information and vehicle information (Year, Make, Model). If its possible for you to add a video of the damage that really helps. When making the video have a section of it a bit further out so I can see the location of the dent on the panel (front of the door…back of the door…etc)…. I am looking for access and leverage. Then also have the video show the damage from multiple angles moving the camera around getting as many points of view as possible. This allows me to determine the depth and severity of the dent. The more information I have the better I can give an estimate. There may be times where I will still need to see the vehicle in person to know whether or not the repair is possible.
Send pictures/video via text or email.
